On June 15 and June 16, the Almaguin Choral Society (ACS) put on two benefit concerts called “Sing the World Better”, for the people of Ukraine at Land of Lakes school auditorium.
"The concerts were a huge success," says spokeswoman Valerie Garde. "ACS would like to thank the community for their generous donations at the concerts. Both concerts were sold out and ACS was able to donate the proceeds of ticket sales, after expenses."
The total donation to United 24 Medical Aid, the Ukrainian charity chosen, was $7000.
"ACS would like to express our sincere appreciation to our audiences for supporting such a worthwhile cause," added Garde.
