Students from École secondaire catholique Algonquin will head out on Tuesday, October 2 to collect non-perishable food items for the North Bay Food Bank.

From 5:30 to 8:00 p.m., students will be going door-to-door on Algonquin Avenue up to Mckeown, Main West, and Jane Street areas.

The food drive continues Wednesday, October 3 when West Ferris Secondary School students will collect in the following areas from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.: Judge Avenue back through West Ferris.

"The annual fall food drive provides a great boost to the food bank’s shelves during the fall season," said Amber Livingstone, Manager.

October’s Food of the Month is baby food, formula and pablum; however the food bank welcomes all non-perishable food items as donations.

The food bank is located at 1016 Fisher Street in North Bay.
