west Nipissing police report that a William Street resident called to report a break and enter. Police learned that an air conditioning unit was removed from a window and the culprit gained access to the house by entering through the window. 

In other WNPS news, 

  • The West Nipissing Police Service is investigating the theft of a small motorcycle. A Drive In Road resident contacted the police to report the GIO 125cc, black and white dirt bike valued at approximately $500 was stolen from her property. 
  • A Quesnel Road resident contacted the police to report that his vehicle had been entered and personal items had been stolen. The victim had a GPS, personal documents and prescription sunglasses stolen. Police urge people to lock their vehicles when they are left unattended.
  • Police are investigating a domestic disturbance that occurred August 26. Police learned that the victim was at his home when his ex-girlfriend arrived and entered his home uninvited. The victim tried to remove the woman from his residence but was assaulted while trying to do so.
