$171,750 is being spent through Ontario’s After School Program to support two program delivery partners in North Bay.

“The experience of the past two years has highlighted the importance of sport and recreation programs to individual and community well-being,” said Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing.

North Bay region program delivery partners include:

  • $99,750 for the YMCA Northeastern Ontario (North Bay and District)
  • $72,000 for the City of North Bay

“Our after-school programs have always been well attended in North Bay and we know that children, parents and families need these supports to provide safe spaces, recreation and access to caring role models, for those hours when school is out, but parents remain at work.” said Helen Francis, President of YMCA Northeastern Ontario.
