$9 million will support hospital bed capacity

The North Bay Regional Health Centre will receive $9 million in provincial funding to support its bedding capacity,

The funding breakdown is as follows:

  • $4,599,000 in base funding to support 21 Alternate Level of Care (ALC) transitional beds.
  • $4,380,000 in one-time funding to support 24 Alternate Health Facility (AHF) transitional beds.

“Today’s funding announcement gives our health centre greater stability and the opportunity to plan for the future." says Ryan Jeffers, Chief Financial Officer. "This will assist us as we continue our work to optimize patient flow across our organization and ensure we continue to provide the best possible care to our communities.”
