If you are driving on Airport Road, near the Air Defence Park, expect minor delays in traffic next Thursday, November 25 from 6 to 9 a.m.

Members of 22 Wing/Canadian Forces Base North Bay and community volunteers will be collecting non-perishable food items and cash donations on behalf of My Team Cares in support of the North Bay Food Bank.

"We regret any inconvenience these delays may cause," says Capt Leah Pierce,

"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to provide contactless drop-offs, you are asked to place non-perishable food items in trunks, pull up and release the trunk so that volunteers can remove the bags," adds Pierce. "Alternatively, a table will be available to deposit donated food items. To ensure physical distancing, money will be collected using cans attached to poles."

All members of 22 Wing will adhere to public health measures.

For the eleventh year, 22 Wing is teaming up with My Team Cares, formally known as the Coach4Food Program, to collect food for the North Bay Food Bank. Every dollar donated is the equivalent of one pound of food.
