Most students at exam time are ushered into a gymnasium were desks are lined up row upon row waiting for the kids to write the timed tests revealing what exactly they have learned over the semester.
The students at Widdifield Secondary School still have those dreaded exams but they also have an added feature of showcasing what they have learned during the outlined arts classroom curriculum.
This week the students showcase their arts performances during the semi-annual Artsfest on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The evening’s performance includes dance, drama, instrumental and vocal music as well visual and media arts. Highlight of the evening will be a dance number choreographed by Lexie Bullock (shown in side photo) preformed by the grad 12 dance and boys phys ed class
Tickets are $5.00 per person and can be purchased at the door, show starts at 7:00 pm in the school theatre on Ski Club Road.
