The short film, The House, written and directed by the Bay’s own Jim Calarco, has been selected for the 2011 I’ve Seen Films INTERNET Contest in Milan, Italy.

This online contest is designed to not only to promote the I’ve Seen Films International Film Festival, but to also to expose audiences to the wide array of short films from all over the world.

The short film that is selected by the internet audience will be screened at the I’ve Seen Films Festival and the author will be personally awarded by internationally acclaimed Dutch actor actor, director and writer Rutger Hauer with the Internet Audience ICFILMS Award.

Calarco would love not only to receive the ICFILMS award, but to also put North Bay on the international movie map and bolster the growing industry for the region. He can only achieve this with the help of the community. Register and vote for ‘The House’ at the following link www.cortoweb.com.

The top 20 short film vote getters will then be judged by the I’ve Seen Films International Jury that will then decide the winner of 20th Century Fox H. E. Internet Jury ICFILMS Award. Jury members include international movie moguls Ridley Scott, Robert Rodriguez, Miranda Richardson, Joan Chen and Rutger Hauer.
