YMCA announces temporary closure

The YMCA of Northeastern Ontario will be closing all services due to the COVID-19 outbreak, effective at noon today. This includes the North Bay YMCA Health, Fitness & Aquatics Centres and YMCA Employment and Immigrant Services. and the Sudbury YMCA.

“We care deeply about the well-being and health of our staff, volunteers, members, participants, and families," says Helen Francis, President for YMCA of Northeastern Ontario in a news release. "We’ve made this decision to hopefully mitigate the spread of germs in our community and help those at risk stay safe and healthy. We know that the YMCA is like a second home to most of our members and we want to ensure that we’re all healthy and safe.”
