North East Region Ontario Provincial Police officers will be helping to raise awareness for the ‘Write for Hope’ campaign in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation by using a special edition pink ribbon pen during the month of October.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month across the country and Paper Mate is supporting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the quest for a cure by offering a special edition pink ribbon FlexGrip Elite pen for sale at a retailer near you. For each pink ribbon pen sold, Paper Mate will donate 25 cents to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation to help support breast cancer research, education and awareness programs (up to $25,000)!

OPP officers in the North Bay OPP Cluster (which includes North Bay, Mattawa and Powassan Detachments) will be using the special edition pink ribbon pink pen while on patrol and conducting their duties.

“Thousands of Canadians are affected by breast cancer every year. It impacts those living with the disease, their families, friends and loved ones. Raising awareness for a fundraising campaign that will support innovative breast cancer research and meaningful community education programs is something we are willing to do,” states Constable Rick Tass, Community Services Officer, North Bay OPP Cluster.
