A woman faces assault charges today after a disagreement escalated into confrontation yesterday.
Police say at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, following a disagreement she had with a woman and a man who were visiting her at her home at the time, the woman physically assaulted the female visitor.
She then grabbed a kitchen knife and pointed it at the man, who succeeded in getting her to drop the knife.
The victims did not require medical treatment.
Following an investigation into the assault, North Bay Police arrested Danielle Cheri Gaudet, age 38, at her North Bay home yesterday morning and charged her with:
- One count of assault; and
- One count of assault with a weapon.
Gaudet was held in custody for bail.
