A North Bay woman has been arrested following attacks on her partner.

Police say that on February 15th, an argument between the woman and her male partner in her North Bay home turned violent when she threw a bottle at him.

Then on March 1st, following another argument between the two in the same residence, the woman burned the victim’s skin with a lit cigarette.

Neither incident was reported to police at the time.

But by yesterday, the man had had enough.

A third dispute between the couple in the same home turned violent when the woman punched the man. Someone called 911.

Injuries caused as a result of these incidents were minor according to police.

Yesterday evening, North Bay Police arrested and charged:

A 24-year old North Bay woman with:

  • Two counts of assault with a weapon;
  • One count of assault; and
  • Two counts of breach of probation.

The accused, who police have not named, was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
