Woman faces attempted murder charges

A 41-year-old woman is accused of stabbing her male partner.

The North Bay police have charged a 41-year-old women with attempted murder relating to an incident that occurred last week.   

Police say at that time an argument between the accused and her male partner turned violent when she hit him. 

At approximately 2:45 a.m. this morning, in the same North Bay residence, it is alleged that the accused stabbed him with a kitchen knife. 

The victim was able to flee the apartment to get help.

The accused, whose name the North Bay Police Service is withholding in the interest of protecting the victim, was held in custody for bail.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of these incidents.

This North Bay Police arrested and charged the 41-year-old with a number of charges including: 

- One count of domestic assault;

- One count of attempt murder; and

- Two counts of breach of probation.
