City police charged a woman Saturday following an ongoing investigation into an assault complaint reported to police over a week ago.
Police say on the evening of Saturday, February 11th, while a group of friends were socializing in a North Bay home, the woman became upset with another person and assaulted him with an edged weapon.
She fled the residence before police were contacted.
North Bay Police arrested and charged Tammy Lynn Ostrowski, age 31, of North Bay, with one count of assault with a weapon.
The victim was not injured.
The accused was held in custody pending a Weekends and Statutory Holidays court hearing.
