Woman barges into residence and assaults occupant. Charges laid

North Bay police have arrested a woman for assault.

Police have charged a North Bay woman after a victim was assaulted in their own home yesterday.

North Bay Police responded to a call that a woman entered the victim’s residence without consent, started an argument, and then physically assaulted the victim.

The victim was able to flee the residence and call police. The victim and accused are known to one another.

No weapon was used in the assault.

The victim was taken by EMS to the hospital with non-life-threatening physical injuries. Police located the attacker at her home where she was arrested.

Ashley Noel Robertson, 39, of North Bay, is charged with:

  • Break and enter a place to commit an indictable offence
  • Assault causing bodily harm

Robertson was held pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
