Winter Carnival returns to Mattawa

Last year’s inaugural White Pine Winter Carnival met great success and local supporters came out in full-force. This year, the Carnival begins its annual celebration Friday February 15th running through until Sunday February 17, 2008; and promises to be full of new and exciting events. A variety of activities for all ages! Mattawa, Papineau-Cameron, Mattawan, Calvin, and Bonfield residents will be working diligently for 3 days to bring you and your families a weekend of entertainment and excitement!!! Reminiscent of Chair Diane Corriveau’s comments last year “future White Pine Winter Carnivals will be bigger and better,” and rest assured, you’re not going to want to miss the 2008 installment.

Expect to see: F.J. Voyageurs Hockey Game vs. Scollard, Snowmobile Poker Run, Bonfield Legion Fishing Derby, and many more events yet to be confirmed. Rest assured that the needs of your entire family will be taken care of for the weekend of February 15 – 17, 2007.
