Last night’s shift at the North Bay Police Service had two more incidents of deer being struck by vehicles. The first one had been on Tuesday at 11:30 AM on Birch’s Rd. and the animal had to be destroyed by officers.

Last evening at 9:30 PM an officer attended a vehicle collision with a small deer in the 800 block of Lakeshore Dr. In that occasion the animal was destroyed as well.

Shortly after, at approximately 10 PM, another collision with a small deer in the Booth Rd./Turner Dr. area of the city, required the intervention of a North Bay Police Service officer to dispatch the animal as well.

During the same time period, officers at the other end of town in the 1300 block of Main St. W. were kept busy with a bear sighting. It appeared that a bear was seen in the dumpsters within that area. The officers were not able to find the animal.
