Sunset Park is in the West Ferris area of the city, just off Lakeshore Drive.

The ice hut, with no visible registration markings, is partially floating about 50 yards offshore in waist deep water.

The deadline for removing the huts off Lake Nipissing was March 30th.

All ice huts must be removed before ice breakup, even if no removal date applies.

Registration numbers are supposed to be displayed on the outside of the ice hut at least 2.5 inches high (6.3 cm).

The hut is one of about 50 or so that were located off Sunset Point, a popular fishing spot both in winter and summer.

A spokesperson for the MNR told BayToday that the owner is still responsible for removing the hut, but if the owner can't be found, the hut would be removed by another agency.
