BayToday.ca has learned that the former Miner’s Son restaurant located at the corner of Cartier and McKeown Avenue will have a new occupant in the new year.

Twigg’s Coffee Company will be leaving its McKeown location further west on the busy Avenue, and into the new location.

“We are hoping to be all moved and reopened early January,” stated Meagan Twigg, in an email to BayToday.ca Tuesday afternoon.

The move will allow Twigg’s to operate a drive-thru at the new location along with a patio and a private conference for small groups.

The Miner’s son Restaurant opened at the McKeown location early in 2015 and closed its doors for good in June of 2017.

The current McKeown location is expected to close in early January and Twigg's officials estimate there will be a few days of transition time into the new facility.
