The proposal has four main ways to strengthen the health care system.

In December the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) released Patients First: A Proposal to Strengthen Patient-Centred care in Ontario, a discussion paper that outlines proposed changes for the Ontario health care system.

The proposal has four main ways to strengthen the health care system with a focus on better patient care: 

  1. more integration of services and greater equity;
  2. better access to, and integration of, primary care;
  3. more consistent and accessible home and community care; and
  4. stronger links to population and public health.

The North East LHIN is now inviting you to provide input on the proposed changes through the following ways between now and Friday February 26:
