A Sturgeon Falls man has one million reasons to celebrate after winning at ENCORE.
Leo Malette matched all seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the August 26, 2021 DAILY GRAND draw to win $1 million.
Leo, a regular lottery player, says he always adds ENCORE and he has even won before.
"I won $100,000 on ENCORE years ago," he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
The West Nipissing city councillor checked his lottery tickets on OLG.ca when he realized he won big.
"I didn't believe it was real," the 76-year-old said in a release.
"I waited about an hour for my wife to wake up so I could tell her the good news. I started calling the kids, and they were so shocked and happy for us!"
Leo treated himself to a new car with his winnings. He is currently enjoying a family getaway in Toronto and plans to share the rest of his winnings with the three generations in his family.
"This is a family win. My family is my whole world," Leo concluded.
The winning ticket was purchased at Metro on Front Street in Sturgeon Falls.
