Weekend RIDE checks uncover 4 impaired drivers

North Bay OPP, Northeast Highway Safety Division and Anishinabek Police Service officers were busy over the weekend with a total of four impaired drivers and two 12-hour suspensions. Officers were conducting RIDE checks on area Highways and as a result removed six high risk drivers.

On February 6th, 2009 at approximately 8:30 p.m., on Highway 17 in Commanda Township, Brian WIGNALL, 51 years old, of Hamilton was charged with Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code. WIGNALL is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on March 24th, 2009.

At approximately 11 p.m. that same evening, on Highway 17 in Commanda Township, Mandy L. GREENWOOD, 30 years old, of North Bay was charged with Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol under s.253(1)(a) and Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code. GREENWOOD is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay at a later date.

On February 7th, 2009 at approximately 4:00 a.m., North Bay OPP officer stopped a vehicle as a result of speeding on Highway 17 in the city of North Bay. Cedric M. ALLARD, 24 years old, of Ottawa was charged with Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code. ALLARD is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on March 10th, 2009.

On February 8th, 2009 in the early morning hours, Jason CONSTANTIN, 25 years old, of Astorville was charged with Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code. ALLARD is also scheduled to appear for court in North Bay at a later date.
