The regular ‘Hot Spot Wednesday’ for Communities in Bloom will take place this Wednesday June 28 on Along the old rail lands behind Discovery North Bay (old CP station beside the city bus terminal) at 6 p.m. weather permitting.

The committee welcomes and encourages the public to join in and help beautify North Bay. Volunteers remember that water, gloves, shirts, and garbage/recycling bags are provided to help clean up North Bay a section at a time.

Volunteers so far have had a busy year discovering items of interest including everything from birdcages to tires.

The Wednesday Hotspot clean up will continue through to the end of summer with time and location posted on BayToday Tuesdays.

Don’t forget nominations for the 2006 Front Yard Garden Contest June 30th. The competition is open to everyone including single residences, multi-residences, and businesses.
