Weather conditions causing havoc with blood collection in the Bay

The weather in North Bay and area over the past few weeks has been impacting much of the region’s operations—blood collection included.

Closures and poor travel conditions have resulted in fewer people donating blood.

Canadian Blood Services is asking people working or residing near a local clinic to donate if they are eligible to do so and can safely make it to a clinic.

Donors can attend the following clinic:

Clarion Resort Pinewood Park, 201 Pinewood Park Drive, North Bay.

Wednesday, January 30th from 12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, January 31st from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Those who have appointments at upcoming clinics in the area are asked to please honour them. However, if you cannot make it safely to a clinic, please rebook your appointment for another day.
