You have opinions and at BayToday we want to hear them.
Monitoring and maintaining a comments section isn't easy. It's time consuming and thankless. We try to take down inappropriate comments when we find them, but it's a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" sort of thing. We know we're not perfect.
But we feel that it's important that the community has a voice.
So we're keeping our comments section for local news stories open.
A reminder of our policy though, " Comments that appear on the site are not the opinion of BayToday.ca. Keep discussions civil and on topic. Refrain from obscenity and don't post anything that your grandmother would be ashamed to read."
And don't bully.
The vast majority of you are great at keeping on topic and advancing the discussion. If you find something inappropriate, send us an email.
