Watermain break affects Ferris area (update)

Please be advised that sometime between 0600 and 0630 hours this morning (Friday November 23, 2007) we experienced a break in the 20” main waterline on Booth Road, north of Birch’s Road.

This is the main line that feeds the West Ferris stand pipe. Crews are on the site and repairs are currently underway. This section of pipe is approximately 20 feet in the ground which creates extra challenges for the repair.

While no resident should be without water, fluctuations in pressure are expected.

The repair is the top priority today and we anticipate the repair will be completed within the next 24-36 hours.
