Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli responded this afternoon regarding comments made by Health Minister Hoskins in the Ontario Legislature on Monday.
“In response to my question to Minister Hoskins on potential changes in cancer care at the North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC), the Minister responded, ‘We have no plans to change the level, quality and location of cancer services at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.’ "
However, Fedeli says in a news release, "We now know that this is not accurate. In a subsequent release the NBRHC indicated that, ‘There have been discussions related to phasing out the radiation oncologists visiting NBRHC to provide follow up care.’
"I call on Minister Hoskins to do the right thing and immediately retract this erroneous information and correct his record in the Legislature”
