Voyageur Days wristbands already 50% sold out

Mattawa Voyageur Days wristbands for this coming summer’s festival bash July 23-26 are now 50% sold out. And the music line-up has yet to be completed as well as the announcement of other program events and attractions that do not require a wristband making this event a true and total community festival. “The Committee is very pleased with the pre-sales for this coming summer’s festival” says Jacques Begin Co-Chair of Mattawa Voyageur Days. The Committee is also pleased to announce that World’s Finest Shows Midway will be returning in 2009.

The music line-up already announced includes Adam Gregory and mega-super star Terri Clark for Friday’s New Country. Saturday’s 12 to 12 Rock Where the River meet include SAGA, Haywire, Trooper and Loverboy. Two more acts will be announced in the coming weeks. The Committee is also very close to announcing the Sunday night Festival closer. “The Sunday night show will be absolutely spectacular even superseding the Committee’s expectations” says Jacques.

Single day wristbands for Thursday’s Evening with the Stars, Friday’s New Country and Sunday’s closer are now on sale. These single day wristbands can only be purchased at or by contacting the Mattawa Travel Information Centre 705 744 0222. “The Committee is pleased to be in a position of selling single day wristbands in advance this year for those who only can or wish to attend the Country Night or the spectacular closing on Sunday night.” Single day passes will not be sold for the Saturday’s 12 – 12 Rock Where the Rivers Meet. Total weekend wristbands can be purchased at all area Scotiabank and Caisse Populaire and also by contacting the Mattawa Travel Information Centre.
