COCHRANE, ON - Alex Little scored twice to lead the Powassan Voodoos to a convincing 5-1 win over the Cochrane Crunch at the Tim Horton's Events Centre in Cochrane Friday night.

Little scored the first two goals of the contest, his first one converting a nice transition play midway through the opening Frame and then cashed in right of the opening faceoff in the second period fooling Crunch netminder Michael Nickolau seven seconds into the middle frame.

Owen Fergusson netted his second goal of the season less than 2 minutes later to make it 3-0 Voodoos.

Jake Alton broke Voodoos starter Owen Wray's shutout bid late in the second period after the Voodoos were hemmed into the zone.

The Voodoos were able to extend the lead early in the third period as Battalion prospect and former AAA Trappers forward Brett Richardson netted his first junior A goal at 2:48.

Ryan O'Dell finished off the scoring with a laser shot from the blueline off a faceoff.

Wray made 20 saves for the win while Battalion prospect Chase MacQueen-Spence contributed two assists giving him a league-leading six points in three games this season.

The victory moves the Voodoos regular season record to 3-0. They travel west on Saturday to clash with the Hearst Lumberjacks.  Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
