A damaged hydro pole near St. Gregory School is expected to cause a power disruption in the Powassan area which has forced the NOJHL to postpone a game at the Powassan Sportsplex scheduled for 7 pm between the Hearst Lumberjacks and the Powassan Voodoos.

Hydro One crews have been at the scene.

"The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League has announced that tonight’s originally scheduled contest between the Powassan Voodoos and Hearst Lumberjacks at the Powassan Sportsplex, has been postponed," the NOJHL stated in a release.

The cause for the postponement is due to Ontario Hydro repairs in the area that requires power being shut off for an undetermined period.

Hydro One sources say the outage will impact a portion of Powassan and the disruption may go from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. tonight.

The NOJHL will announce the make-up date and start time for this game to be replayed once it is finalized by the NOJHL.
