VIDEO: Sights and sounds from Families First New Year's Eve

2024: Happy new year!

Memorial Gardens and Thomson Park were the locations of the City of North Bay's traditional free, family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration.

Community members turned out in droves by the hundreds to participate in the Families First offerings, including a colouring contest, magic shows, interactive reptile shows, button making, and skating — see the video above featuring Auld Lang Syne, as performed by Frank C. Stanley (Public domain).

Earlier in the day, the North Bay YMCA opened the community pool for free swimming.

The evening was topped off with a fireworks display over Thomson Park.
