Veteran's Week Open House

This is Veteran's Week across the country and to start things off in North Bay, Veterans took to centre ice Friday at Memorial Gardens for the official puck drop ceremony at the Skyhawks game.

This year’s theme for Veterans' Week 2006 is ‘Share the Story’ and today the North Bay District Veterans Affairs Office is hosting an open house. The open house is an opportunity for people to come together and share memories and develop a deeper understanding of the sacrifices and achievements of those who served Canada. The open house will run from 9am until 4pm at 107 Shirreff Avenue, Suite 201 with work on display from the 5th annual high school art competition (photos in gallery).

And the annual Remembrance Day ceremonies will be held at Memorial Gardens on Saturday.
