The Liberals aren't the only ones back in the house.
Triplets born prematurely at the North Bay General Hospital were discharged today.

And for Brian Boldt, the father of threesome, the patriation of his children will ease the stress somewhat.

Boldt admits life at his Bonfield home has been “total chaos” over the last month.

Brian’s wife Lise gave birth May 27 to the triplets, all three of whom were delivered via caesarean section.

Emilie, 3 lbs, 13 oz., arrived first at 10:24 p.m., May 27, followed by her identical twin Micheline, 3 lbs, 10 oz at 10:25 p.m. Two minutes later their fraternal sister Brianna was brought into the world, weighing in at a sturdy 4 lbs, 2 oz.

Because the girls were born three weeks early they spent the last month in the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit fattening up. Now Emilie weighs a whopping 6 lbs. 12 ounces, Brianna 6 lbs, 6 ounces and Micheline, 6 lbs 3 oz.

“We’ve been going back and forth to the hospital and that’s where the chaos comes in,” Boldt said.

“But at least now that the girls will be home it will be centralized chaos.”

Boldt estimates in the next little while the babies will go through 30 diapers each a day.

But from a care point of view, there are family members happy to help out, Boldt said.

"We’ve had nurses here who said 'I work a week on a week off just give me a call I’d just love to come out and spend some time with the girls,'" Boldt said.

"We’re going to cope, we’re going to adjust. It’s like playing poker. You sit at the table and play the hand you’re dealt."

The most important thing, though, Boldt said, is that the infants are healthy.

"They’re flourishing exceptionaly, like a rocket ship taking off. It's wonderful."

The fact the babies are breast feeding has a lot to do with it, Boldt said.

"Lise is working overtime at it, but it's down to a science," Boldt said, while loading his girls into his Kia Sedona van, specialy equipped to hold four car seats, including one for son McKenzie.

"It's not impossible to breast feed three babies. You just have to choreograph the whole thing."
