A man walking along Algonquin Avenue didn't want to hear safety advice from someone else, but his actions got him arrested.

Police say that on Sunday shortly after 1:30 a.m., a woman walking on Algonquin saw an unknown man walking on the roadway.

When she called out to him, suggesting he should move off the roadway for his own safety, he began to yell at her, follow her and chase her.

Fearing for her own safety, the victim called 911.

Police found the man shortly thereafter on Front Street, where he was arrested.

A 24-year old Corbeil man is charged with one count of criminal harassment.

He was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for September 27th.
