A local doctor is going to get cooking on a unique fundraiser later this month.

The North Bay Regional Health Centre’s Dr. Ravinder Singh is raising funds by cooking some Indo-Jamaican Fusion Cuisine on Zoom.

The online event will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29.

All the money raised will support Regional Aboriginal Mental Health Services and the Urgent Care Fund for COVID-19.

Kendra Clarke of the North Bay Regional Health Centre foundation says it’s quite the meal.

“We’ve got Tandoori Jerk Chicken Tikka Masala in Banana Coconut Curry, Indo-Jamaican Rice, Spicy Pineapple Mint Salad, Banana Cucumber Mint Yogurt and Naan Glazed with Garlic Butter and Parsley,” she told CKAT.

Clarke adds that Dr. Singh will match the donations up to $10,000.
