The last Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources staff in British Columbia returned to Ontario Wednesday, September 16 bringing to an end the largest and longest dispatch by Ontario to another jurisdiction. Two Incident Management Teams and support staff totalling 59 personnel arrived safely at Regional Fire Management Centres in Dryden and Sudbury. In addition to personnel, 17,000 pieces of equipment were sent to B.C. which is now in the process of being returned and recycled into our system.

Always remember to be FireSmart http://www.ontario.ca/fireprevention. If you're planning a campfire, remember to pick a designated campfire pit if available or choose a safe site on bare rock or soil, keep the fire small, never leave it unattended and make sure it is completely extinguished before leaving the site.
