Two face charges for trafficking marijuana and cannabis resin

A drug bust at a Main Street West apartment on Saturday by the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime unit resulted in the arrest of two people.

Arrested and charged:

  • A 21 year old Callander woman and
  • Tyler Jay Badgley, age 21, of North Bay.

Both were charged with:

  • Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking;
  • One count of possession of property obtained by crime; and
  • Two counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon.

Both were released from custody with a court date scheduled for Tuesday, April 14th.

As a result of the investigation, North Bay Police seized the following:

  • 7 lbs of suspected marijuana;
  • 3 g of suspected cannabis resin (street name “shatter”);
  • Two prohibited knives; and
  • Approximately $4000 in Canadian currency.

The total street value of the combined drugs seized is estimated at $45,000.
