Members of the public are invited to Memorial Gardens to celebrate Kraft Hockeyville with the Kraft Hockeyville Trophy from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 31st in the Hall of Fame room at Memorial Gardens.

With the donation of a non-perishable food item citizens will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the Hockeyville trophy that will stay in our community for one year. Bring your own cameras please.

Public Skating will also be available during the event.

North Bay was crowned Kraft Hockeyville 2007 on March 17th when National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman announced live on CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada that North Bay won the 2nd annual national competition beating out Cornwall by more than 13,000 votes.

As part of the prize North Bay won $50,000 in arena upgrades plus the right to host an NHL pre-season game at Memorial Gardens on September 17th when the New York Islanders and Atlanta Thrashers come to the Gateway City.

North Bay also won $10,000 in arena upgrades during the Merit prize voting which took place February 5th to February 23rd.

The North Bay Hockeyville committee and the city of North Bay are proud to be a part of Kraft Hockeyville, a partnership between the NHL, National Hockey League Players’ Association, Kraft and CBC.
