Tree guru Hal Falk not only spent a full day driving to pick up the trees and talking with residents about best practices in tree planting, but he also got into the spirit and helped plant trees and seedlings.
Tree North Bay Chair Chris Mayne said he was delighted with support for the local project and says groups have already expressed interest to run the event again next year.
Supporting this years project were the Rotary Clubs of North Bay and Nipissing, Nipissing Kiwanis Club, Community Waterfront Friends, Greening Nipissing, Heritage Gardeners, Lake Nipissing Stewardship Council, Nipissing Botanical Gardens, Nipissing Environmental Watch and Nipissing Naturalists.
