Transport driver nabbed, charged with drug offences

Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the OPP received an erratic driving complaint involving a tractor trailer that was northbound on Highway 11, near Latchford on January 21, at approximately 9:20 a.m.

Police found and pulled over the truck.

Further investigation resulted in a 31- year old man facing drug charges.

His tractor trailer was towed from the scene.

Gurpreet Dhami of Hamilton is charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance – heroin ,
  • Possession of a schedule I substance – methamphetamine
  • and Possession of a schedule I substance - codeine.

Dhami will appear on March 10, at Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury.
