Traffic stop results in drug charges

On May 1, 2010 at approximately 9:30 p.m., during a routine traffic stop, a North Bay OPP officer seized over a pound and a half of cannabis marihuana with an estimated street value in excess of $14,000.

Patrick G. MCMEEKIN, 27 years old, of Timmins, Ontario was charged with Possession for the Purpose Schedule II under 3 kg as per s. 5(2) CDSA. MCMEEKIN is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on May 15, 2010.
