Traffic stop leads to arrest for impaired driving

Markstay-Warren – On 20 January 2010 at approximately 1:25 am, Warren OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle on Highway 17 within the Municipality of West Nipissing. During the course of the investigation, the driver displayed signs of impairment.

Dany ETHIER (37) of Gatineau QC was arrested for impaired driving.

Further investigation led OPP to seize cash and illicit drugs in excess of $15,000.00.

ETHIER is charged with: failure to provide a breath sample, impaired operation of a motor vehicle as well as several other drug possession and property related offences.

ETHIER was held for a bail hearing in North Bay.
