Twelve Torontonians recently spent the weekend in North Bay after having won the Taste the Adventure contest, held by CFRB radio in conjunction with the city.

The 12 engaged mostly in winter sports while taking in local sights as well.

Transportation from Hogtown was provided by the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission, including a ride back down to Toronto on the Northlander train.

The contestants spent most of their time at Jack Pine Hill, learning how to ski and snowshoe, while also doing some snow tubing at the Canadian Tire Snow Tube Park.

They also went ice fishing on Lake Nipissing, and were able to do some snowmobiling too.

A few meals at local restaurants including Churchill's topped off the weekend.
