Torch run today

The run started at the back parking lot of NBPS, turning right on Princess Street West, then on to the North Bay Area Museum.

The Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario left police headquarters on Victoria St. W. this morning for a run downtown before returning to a barbecue lunch.

Student Zoey Langford led the way with the torch held high.

A BBQ lunch at headquarters followed at 11:30 a.m. 

Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities

$20 – Torch Run T-shirts

$ 3 – Burgers

$ 2 – Hotdogs

$ 1 – soft drinks

All proceeds from BBQ and t-shirt sales go to Special Olympics Ontario .
