Discussing officer's fears in the wake of terrorism and anti-police violence is one of the topics being discussed as Chiefs of Police, Deputy Chiefs of Police and senior officers from across Ontario meet in North Bay today and tomorrow.

It's a meeting of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) Board.

Other issues being discussed include the cost of service delivery, justice reform, the value of Instagram and the impact of federal downloads on the administration of justice.

“It is always a pleasure to welcome OACP board members to our great city,” said Chief Paul Cook, Past-President of OACP.

“We are equally pleased that they will be here to support the 2015 Special Olympics Ontario Winter Games, the charity of choice for police in Ontario.”

Tomorrow, other Chiefs of Police and Deputy Chiefs of Police, as well as Government of Ontario officials, will join the OACP Board members for another day-long meeting to discuss the future of policing, community safety plans, and changes to the Police Services Act.
