Timmins Police issue AMBER ALERT Update

Constable Richard Lemieux Media Relations Officer with the Timmins Police Service has informed BayToday that Aiden and Kara Johnson have been found and are safe in North Bay.

Lemieux says they are waiting for information and details at this time from detectives.

THE TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE HAS REQUESTED AN "AMBER ALERT" FOR 2 ABDUCTED CHILDREN IN THE TIMMINS AREA.

TORONTO, Jan. 5, 2012 /CNW/ -

1.Victim's name: AIDEN JOHNSON Gender: Male
Date of Birth: 14TH April 2008 Age: 3 years

Physical Description: 3' 6" tall, stocky build, light brown medium Length hair, Blue eyes, Caucasian with pale complexion

Clothing: Black and red Oshkosh snow boots with 2 velcro straps, white winter jacket with blue and black rockets and spaceships

2.Victim's name: KARA JOHNSON Gender: Female
Date of Birth: 21ST October 2010 Age: 1 year

Physical Description: 2' tall petite build, light brown short hair with bangs, fine hair, hazel eyes, Caucasian

Clothing: Baby sleeper one piece, turquoise in colour with bunny in front.

Additional information: Kara says "Dora", "grandma" and "grandpa"

Believed to be in the company of: Zachary Johnson (Father)
Date of Birth: 30th August 1977

Physical Description: 5' 10" tall, skinny build, short curly dark brown hair with some grey, grey/green eyes, Caucasian, scruff facial hair, needs glasses however not currently wearing them.

Details of Incident:
Possible destination: Ottawa, Nova Scotia or Saint Sauveur des Monts in Quebec.

Vehicle he was driving was located by Police broken down near Westmount Avenue and University Street in Timmins.

Police are unable to locate Mr Johnson and the kids and they fear for their safety.

If observed call 911.

This Amber Alert broadcast request will end at 1000hrs, unless a further extension is requested.
