Three people charged in connection with cheating at Pickering casino

OPP's Investigation and Enforcement Bureau has charged three people in connection with illegal activity at a casino in Pickering.

On May 4 members of the IEB, attached to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), started an investigation into allegations of a table games dealer in collusion with patrons at the casino.

Three people have been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code.

Amadeo Rojas, 60 of Scarborough is charged with:

  • Two counts of Criminal breach of trust
  • Two counts of Cheat at play
  • Two counts of Fraud over $5,000 

Noel Sarsonas, 66 of Scarborough, and Jeffery Pardinis, 33, of Pickering, are charged with:

  • Cheat at play
  • Fraud over $5,000

All have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Oshawa on a later date.
