Three new COVID cases Tuesday

There are now nine active cases, seven in Nipissing and two in Parry Sound

Three new COVID cases in the district according to the Health Unit website.

Number 66 is under age19 and got the virus through close contact. 

Number 67 is between 40-59 and acquired the virus through travel.

Number 68 is between 20-39 and also contracted the virus by close contact. All three are isolating.

There are now nine active cases, seven in Nipissing and two in Parry Sound.

The district remains a green zone, while Sudbury is yellow and Muskoka orange. Sudbury reported five new cases today.

Meanwhile, the North Bay Health Unit has declared a community COVID-19 outbreak after six members of the Nipissing University athletic community tested positive.

"While the individuals who tested positive do not live on Nipissing University’s campus they have had interactions at the R.J. Surtees Student Athletics Centre gym and at social gatherings in the community," says a news release.
