Three new cases of COVID in the district today

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is reporting three more cases of COVID-19 in this area,

All three were caused by close contact with two between the ages of 20-39 and the other 19 and younger. 

Close Contact is a person who provided care for the confirmed case, including healthcare workers, family member or other caregivers, or who had other similar close physical contact, or, a person who lived with or otherwise had close, prolonged contact with a confirmed case while the case was ill.

The active case count is now at 11, down from 13 on Friday.  

Seven are in Nipissing District and four are in Parry Sound.

There have been 79 cases of COVID-19 in the entire district since the pandemic began. 

Sixty-seven have been resolved and there has been one death.

Another update on cases is expected this afternoon on the Health Unit website as case counts are now updated Monday at 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. and Tuesday to Friday at 3 p.m.
