Today, David Thompson filed his nomination paper to run as a trustee candidate representing North Bay on the Near North School Board in the upcoming November 13th election.

The Economic Development Advisor and Canadore College part-time instructor strongly believes that “the children’s education is the most important tool for their future and ours…...” commented Thompson.

“We, as their guardians, parents, teachers, Board Administration, business community, and all politicians must continue to work collectively together in order to prepare them for a rapidly expanding and competitive world. This process starts right here in the Near North School Board. For that reason we must make our children’s education a bigger priority,” added Thompson.

As a mature student, who is finishing a Liberal Arts degree at Nipissing University, and now, a part-time instructor at Canadore College, Thompson brings a unique combination of community involvement, business experience, and new leadership for the Near North Public Board supporter’s consideration on November 13th
